Frequently Asked Questions

1. What we do

We provide the online platform for primary and secondary students for finding transport arrangements to school. HwangTS is “powered by brilliant commuters like you”. With just a simple 3-steps process, you can find a daily carpool to school, or earn extra income by fetching others.

2. Why are we doing this

It makes sense to us that parents fetching their own kids to school will also consider fetching others who live near them, as long as they are given financial incentives. And as far as students are concern, they do not have to pay so much every month as compared to commercial transporters.

3. How do we make the arrangements

After receiving your information provided in the online form, we will match your needs by considering your geographical location and school. If there is a travel match, we will first inform you and if you choose to proceed, we will then arrange for the transporter to contact you.

4. How long does it normally take to locate a nearby transporter who has kids going to the same school?

Generally we take about 5 days to process and match you up with a travel buddy near you.

5. How do I know if I can trust the transporter to fetch my kids

You get to choose the transporter. Just as any commercial arrangements, it is your responsibility to make sure you trust his service before proceeding. We hold no liability for any actions of the transporters. But it is in our opinion that because these transporters are usually parents with kids going to the same school, and lives in your neighborhood; it is much safer than to engage a commercial transporter or having your kids walk to school.

6. What if the transporter is not up to par

We can arrange to set you up with other available transporter, with no penalty on the RM 30 deposit.

7. How much am I expected to pay to these parents who is willing to commit to fetch my kids to school

All arrangements are made between the both of you. But it will generally be less expensive than to engage a commercial transporter.

8. Why should I use your service

We are strong advocates for ridesharing, as it reduces the number of cars on the road. Why should students living near each other go by separate cars if they’re attending the same school? We hope this platform goes from scratch to itch; and be able to solve school transportation problem, one student at a time.

9. Why is this service not already free

We charge our transporters a small amount of fee every month. This is because it is costly for us to maintain the site and business; and we are also looking to expand our business to include other schools around the Selangor region, to be able to reach out to more students.

Hi, I am looking for my son (10 years) for 2016 school year to pick him from TTDI and drop him to Chung Hwa Damansara (section 17) at 6.45am every morning.

He has different school activities and I do not have any confirmation yet for 2016. To give you an idea what he has in 2015:
Pick up every morning at 6.45am at our condo in TTDI and drop straight to school.

Monday / Tuesday - finish tuition at 4.00pm and drop home
Wednesday - finish scout at 3.30pm and drop home
Thursday - finish tuition at 4.00pm and drop to TTDI community centre for badminton classes
Friday - finish tuition at 2.30pm and drop home
